Commetrex To Offer Support Services to Netergy Microelectronics Customers

ROSWELL, Ga., June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Commetrex Corporation and Netergy Microelectronics, Inc., a subsidiary of 8x8, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGHT - News), announced today that the two companies have entered into an agreement whereby Commetrex will provide technical support to licensees of Netergy's Veracity(tm) Voice over IP (VoIP) embedded software technology.

Under an existing agreement, Netergy had licensed Commetrex' fax modem and T.38 software technology and integrated the functions into Netergy's Veracity software suite. Veracity provides all of the industry-standard call-control protocols deployed in VoIP networks today, including H.323v4, SIP, MGCP and Megaco, the G.7XX series of audio codecs, and related network functions.
