Local company wins $48 million DLA contract Atlanta

24, 2005 The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has picked Loganville-based Horizon Software International LLC to install food service software for America's armed forces. Representing Horizon, Heidi Monroe Kroft said the contract with the DLA is worth an estimated $48 million and runs through August 2011. Horizon Software will update, unify and provide technical support for the food service operations of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Four different operations are currently used by the DLA to provide food services. By consolidating into a single system, the DLA expects to save money with the new hardware from Horizon. Horizon Software company provides food service technology that works with schools, health-care institutions, retirement homes and correctional facilities.
