Alliance
Technology Ventures (www.atv.com)
is an
early-stage venture capital firm investing in
communications technology, Internet
infrastructure, e-commerce, and life science
startups. Intelligent Systems is a limited
partner in the first ATV fund which was formed
in 1995 as part of an initiative by the state of
Georgia to increase the availability of private
venture capital in the area.
Other co-investors include such companies
as Georgia Power, BellSouth, UPS, Bank of
America, Emory University, and Scientific
Atlanta.
In
addition to our interest in ATV, we co-invested
with the fund directly in two of its portfolio
companies: Atherogenics and Renalogics (now
Aderis Pharmaceuticals).
