AtheroGenics
(www.atherogenics.com)
is an emerging
pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery,
development and commercialization of novel small
molecule therapeutics for the treatment of
chronic inflammatory diseases, such as
atherosclerosis, asthma and arthritis.
Atherogenics currently has four v-protectant
programs in clinical development targeting
restenosis, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis
and organ transplant rejection.
We
were part of the first financing round for
Atherogenics in 1995, along with Alliance
Technology Ventures.
In early August 2000, Atherogenics
completed the initial public offering of its
common stock. We sold our holdings at various times in 2002 and
recognized a gain on the sales.
